Business development Manager


  • A highly dynamic Manager responsible for driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales for IT Services, branding the Organization and forging strong relationships with clients in the US. The individual will manage a team of Sales and pre-sales consultants in India which will include a Content Writer and work with a Sales Consultant in the US.Key geography of operations is the US with the delivery centre in Chennai, India with opportunities to grow in other geographies


  • An MBA or a Technical Degree (B.E/B.Tech)


  • 1015 years in Business Development for a Premier IT Services Organization or a Medium IT Services OrganizationAge between 30 and 40 years preferably


  • Chennai


  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Manage the pipeline and Report progress
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Oversee the development of marketing literature
  • Drive Organizational branding through Social Media, Conferences, Press/Analysts, Alliances and References
  • Manage Bids (Proposals) working with stakeholders across the Organization
  • Work closely with and support the Sales person(people) in the US
  • Manage a Sales team that works on Sales Leads and Campaigns
  • Conduct review meetings and provide management with reports and feedback

Primary Skills:

  • Good Communication and Negotiation skills
  • Previous experience of working with US Customers (Other regions would be an added advantage)
  • Flexibility for short term travel
  • Proven track record in Sales
  • Managing, Supporting and Developing a successful Sales & Marketing Team
  • Ability to collaborate with Business, Delivery and Functional units within the Organization
  • Good to have working knowledge of any CRM platform.
